10th Day of Christmas Dog Tips

We all know the song, Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow....well, today the weather outside is frightful.  Blow, blustery winds, and bitter cold temps.  That can, not only reek havoc on you but it can be just as brutual, if not worse, for your dog.  The 10th Day of Christmas Dog Tip is -- BRING YOUR PETS INDOORS!!!  Limit their exposure outdoors.  That doesn't mean spend all day on the couch watching movies (as nice as that sounds).  You can still work on your homework or training in doors.  Here are some games you can play with your dog inside:

GO FIND (HIDE/SEEK)...You can play this game with or without treats!  Think of Hide & Seek as kids.

RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE STEPS...you'll get exercise and so will your dog

JUMPING THROUGH HOOPS (disclaimer: small dogs only)...If you have a hula hoop, bring it out and have your dog jump through the hoop.

Be creative!  There are LOTS of things you can do with your furry best friend on frigid winter weather days!

Come back tomorrow for the 9th Day of Christmas Dog Tips!
