Oops I forgot to give you your 9th Day of Christmas Dog Tip yesterday so you get a TWO FOR ONE today!
On the 9th Day of Christmas --
Wrapping paper! Yes, it's fun to decorate a present and wonder what the element of surprise has in store for the receipent, however, wrapping paper to your dog can be a choking hazard! It can be very, very dangerous! Keep your pup away from wrapping paper, scissors, scotch paper and bows.
If you wish to be silly and put a bow on your dog's head, 1) you're doing so at your own risk and 2) be sure to supervise at all times!
On the 8th Day of Christmas --
Snow, snow, snow...
It's snowing which means your dog may want to play outside more (dogs like snow more than snow because it's quieter). It also means rock salt comes out. Unless you have pet safe rock salt, PLEASE be sure to wash your dog's paws before coming into the house. Rock Salt, that is NOT pet friendly, can harm the most sensitive part of your dog...their paw pads!
If they don't normally limp and all of a sudden, you're noticing limping, chances are they have a piece of rock salt suck in their paw pads. Just get it out and clean their paw pads!
Come back tomorrow for your 7th Day of Christmas Dog Tip!
